Do you need any help with the maps and plans for your project?

I can help with maps, plans, sketches based on a practical understanding of how good images can help the communication of ideas and specifications, of how you would like something to look, and in the planning stage of how something is going to be made or built. I'm often surprised when people try to convey complex processes and specifications to one another just by word of mouth, expecting their spoken words to be fully understood and set in stone as a master plan. People just don't work like that! They smile and nod their heads as if they've understood you but if they actually do have an understanding of what you've said it's unlikely to be anything like yours. A simple drawing can save endless misunderstandings and get a better job done quicker - time well spent...

I've years of experience of Permaculture design and seen how the principles can be put effectively into practice and also experience of the value of planning and drawing from my days in woodwork and property development.

I use Sketchup, Photoshop, CorelDraw and good old pencil and paper. Here's a few examples:

Sketchup plan of the original idea for our caravan at Treflach - it's a brilliant programme for quick 3D impressions of your project

Scale map of the community garden at Cwm Harry, Newtown, Powys. Very helpful in planning and developing the layout, especially with so many different elements

I do some graphic work too, Photoshop is brilliant for working with text as well as images:
