One of the single biggest things you could do to green up your life is to get gardening. It's all positive:
- Learn about growing food, also materials and medicinal herbs
- Make a start on building local food security
- Reduce fossil fuel and chemical usage, food miles, and plastic waste
- Compost maybe two-thirds of your household waste
- You can even make a global difference by drawing down some carbon from the atmosphere through growing perennials and encouraging mycorrhyzal fungi
- Observe and make contact with the fascinating natural world at first hand
